ZOMG! We've Been 1337 HaxXored! (07/03/06)
Woot!... Of sorts. Infernal Funhouse is somewhat proud to announce that someone out there in, apparently, Turkey, thinks that our totally free, lightly moderated, value-added game forums are influential enough to deserve an honest-to-goodness hacking. Look out, IBM, we hear that your servers are next. Sigh...

It'll take us a couple of days, we're told, to get the forums back up, so until then, everyone do their best to continue on with their lives. We know it'll be tough, but try to be brave...

Now Available: Narrator's Screen
It's finally here: the RandomAnime Narrator’s Screen. This gorgeous, full-color, four-panel game screen includes all the quick-reference charts and tables Narrators need to run their RandomAnime games even faster. Narrators will always have the info they need at their fingertips with this beautifully illustrated and thoughtfully designed reference screen.

You know you want it... So buy it now from our online store or your favorite hobby shop!

Behold our Generosity
You've asked for it, and we've delivered: Project GR mecha creation rules! These beta rules represent our continuing work on what we hope will be the most advanced, most cinematic mecha role-playing system ever designed. And we're giving away a preview version for free! Once you've used these new rules to build a mecha or two, please post your thoughts on our forums. We're very interested in hearing what you have to say.

We've also posted updated Project GR mecha sheets for both non-sentient and sentient mecha. Be sure to download these useful reference sheets along with the new mecha creation rules.

Collectémon: Now Available
Infernal Funhouse is proud (and relieved) to announce the immediate availability of Collectémon, the creature and pet supplement for RandomAnime. Collectémon provides expanded critter creation rules so you can create their own monsters, pets, and humanoids (like elves, dwarves, orcs, vampires, fae, and even the occasional cat girl) for use as both player characters and non-player characters.

Collectémon also introduces over 60 new gimmicks and several new action systems to let you add even more unique abilities and awesome powers to your RandomAnime games. Order Collectémon from our updated online store or from your favorite retailers and distributors.

Blazing Success! (05/27/05)
We're happy to announce that our book signing at Barnes & Noble went wonderfully. Dozens of people showed up, including a number of professors from ECU. We had an interesting discussion, folks asked great questions, we signed some books, and I didn't end up sounding like a fool (which was, honestly, my largest concern). All in all, things went well.

Thanks again to Barnes & Noble for sponsoring the event and thanks to everyone who attended!

Minionomicon: Now Available! (10/26/04)
Infernal Funhouse is proud to announce the immediate availability of Minionomicon, the faceless minion and widget supplement for RandomAnime. Minionomicon introduces new devastating weapons and items; fanatical cohorts; group battle tactics; and more than 50 new gimmicks for faceless minions, widgets, and characters into the already fast and versatile RandomAnime system. Narrators and players definitely don't want to be without this awesome supplement!

Minionomicon: Now Printing (10/15/04)
Well, everyone, Minionomicon is at the printers and will be on store shelves within just a few days. That's a little later than we wanted to have it out, but we'd rather spend a few extra days to put out the highest quality product we can than rush something to print without triple-checking its quality. In a few days, you'll be able to order Minionomicon from our products page. Until then, you can download two spreads from this all-new supplement to get a look at what Minionomicon has in store for you.

Zenzen Sumimasen (10/07/04)
A couple of years ago, when we originally put together our idea for our game screen, we had visions of a beautifully illustrated screen with every table the Narrator would need to run RandomAnime. To sweeten the pot, we decided to add to the screen a small booklet of advanced widget and minion rules. You know, a little something around 30 or so pages, stapled spine, black and white, no cover. Then we started writing. And writing. And somewhere along the line, by the time that "little" rules booklet was finished, it had a name: Minionomicon. It had turned into a full-fledged supplement, 70 pages, crammed full of useful rules, beautifully illustrated, and every bit as large and detailed as the other supplements we're working on. We were still very dedicated to packaging Minionomicon together with the game screen; we want our players to be able to buy this stuff, you see

But, as they say, "the best laid plans..."

We tried, my gentle reader. We tried our best. But the reality of the situation is that we simply can't package both Minionomicon and the Narrator's Game Screen together for any sort of reasonable price. The screen itself is so large and complicated that only a handful of printers in the country can even print it. Furthermore, the screen alone will actually cost us more to print than the entire Minionomicon supplement. And that cost, as you might imagine, would eventually move on to you. We don't want to sell Minionomicon with a game screen for $45, and we're pretty sure folks wouldn't buy it.

So, to remedy this, we're splitting up Minionomicon and the game screen to be sold separately. Minionomicon will be available online and on store shelves within the next 10 days. Sorry for the delay, but the issues mentioned above have forced us to postpone the release date for Minionomicon. On the positive side, Minionomicon will be less expensive, but still just as crazy awesome. That supplement adds so much to RandomAnime and we remain very proud of it. As for the game screen, expect to see that in about a month or so, right before Collectemon is released. We personally apologize to you guys for our oversight. It was always our intention to package these two products together. Thanks to all of our fans for sticking with us as we maneuver through our first (and probably not our last) major "learning experience."

Feel free to contact us about this issue if you have questions or comments. We always welcome and greatly appreciate your feedback. You can find contact information on our contact page. You can also speak directly to us and with other gamers via our forums.

We Got Forums, Baby! (09/21/04)
Infernal Funhouse Productions is pleased to announce the creation of free public forums on our website. With these new forums, you can ask game questions, provide feedback, post your own house rules, receive news directly from us writers and designers, chat with other gamers or just chew over the best way to build the most powerful characters you can.

Over the next few days we'll be tweaking the forums here and there to make it work better for everyone. Please excuse any weirdness in the meantime. We welcome you all to our forums and we hope you find them useful and fun.

It's Official: Nationwide Distribution (05/10/04)
Infernal Funhouse has just gained national distribution. Within the month, gamers should be able to find our games in hobby stores all around the country. You'll also find us listed in the new issue of Games Quarterly, the index most hobby stores order their games from. If your favorite hobby store doesn't carry RandomAnime, they can now order it easily through any of our distributors. Of course, if you're living outside the US, you can still order from our easy-to-use online store. We're also currently negotiating with overseas distributors to gain worldwide distribution. More on that front soon.

Project GR Beta 1 Now Available (11/02/03)
Over the last few months, we've been working diligently on Project GR, the giant robot supplement for RandomAnime. With the preliminary work now complete, we've posted the first beta rules of Project GR. Project GR sports over 50 new gimmicks, an expanded and revised mecha creation section, mecha player character rules, and more user-friendly mecha sheets. Stop by our Downloads page to download the beta rules and the new mecha sheet for FREE.

After we complete playtesting, the final version of Project GR will be available as a free download. If you'd like to get credit as a playtester, simply use the Project GR rules in your games, especially the new gimmicks and action systems, and keep notes on problems you find, confusing wording, or interesting ideas that the rules generate. Send in feedback to us and we'll include your name as a playtester.

Collectémon Final Beta; Project GR update (08/21/03)
Posted on the Collectémon, page, you'll now find the final beta version of Collectémon. It sports a completely redesigned movement system, polished pet and character gimmicks, and complete compatibility with Project GR mecha rules. In addition, you can now download the final Collectémon Critter Sheet, applicable for both cute furry pets and non-human characters created with the Collectémon rules.

Project GR is also progressing well. We should have the first beta copy ready to post within a week or so. Project GR sports enhanced mecha creation rules, rules for mecha as player characters, and updated mechanics that more seamlessly integrate mecha into any RandomAnime game. As usual, we'd appreciate any playtesting results you'd like to send our way.

Project GR: The Giant Robot Supplement for RandomAnime (03/24/03)
While we over here at IF have been polishing up Collectémon, we've also been hard at work on what we're tentatively calling GR, our new rules for mecha creation and fighting. While you know that RandomAnime already has its own mecha section, GR makes mecha creation faster and more flexible and adds tons of new rules for exciting mecha scenarios and science-fiction games. In addition, GR will be totally compatible with Collectémon's expanded rules, allowing you to use both supplements to expand your RandomAnime game worlds. In a few months, a beta copy of GR will be available for free download. Stay tuned!

Collectémon Beta 2 Now Available!!! (02/18/03)
Collectémon has now entered its second beta stage. Revised gimmicks, a tweaked character sheet, mecha gimmick rules, and more refined layouts are just a few of the revisions we've made to this supplement. Remember to send in feedback and we'll list you as a playtester when the final version of Collectémon becomes available.

Collectémon beta now available (01/22/03)
We've completed the beta version of Collectémon. Our first supplement is 48 pages and available as a FREE download from our downloads page. As Collectémon is still in its beta stage, there are a few bugs that have to be worked out. Any text in red is likely to change during playtesting and final layout. After we complete playtesting, the final version of Collectémon will be available as a free download. If you'd like to get credit as a playtester, simply use the Collectémon rules in your games, especially the new gimmicks and action systems, and keep notes on problems you find, confusing wording, or interesting ideas that the rules generate. Send in good feedback to us and we'll include your name as a playtester.

Collectémon beta ready next week (01/18/03)
Well, Collectémon work is wrapping up a little later than expected. However, we did get to finish some important side projects, namely the creation of a character sheet that was usable for not only human player characters, but also pets and non-human characters. Hope you like it. Check back before the end of the month for a downloadable pdf of Collectémon beta and the new character sheet!

Collectémon progress; Game Screen (11/11/02)
Progress on Collectémon is going slowly but steadily. We're in the process of playtesting now and hope to have the starter rules available for download by Christmas. We should have the game screen finished at about the same time, or soon thereafter. The screen itself looks really keen and we're very proud of it. Thanks especially to Ed Page for the awesome artwork! We're hoping to have the screen back from being colored and ready to go to press by the beginning of the year.

Collectemon: The Cute Furry Pet Supplement for RandomAnime (10/31/02)

Collectémon also introduces dozens of brand new gimmicks for characters and their pets, giving you additional ammunition for more anime-style mayhem.

RandomAnime—In Stores Now! (05/20/02)
Hungates in Eastern North Carolina now carries the RandomAnime RPG. Graham Crackers Comics in DeKalb, Illinois also carries the game, and contact has been made with a national distributor to secure further sales of RandomAnime throughout the United States. Borders Books is also in the process of generating a product number for RandomAnime. Look for it on shelves near you, or order from us online using PayPal.

On the horizon is the RandomAnime Narrator’s Game Screen. A role-playing game can’t say that it’s truly arrived unless it has its own game screen, and the RandomAnime Narrator’s Game Screen will include tons of quick-reference charts and tables that will allow you to run games even faster. In addition, we’re adding in an extra "Narrator’s Appendix" filled with nifty widgets, powerful mecha, awesome pets, and villainous… uh… villains for use and abuse in your RandomAnime games.
